Yes. Our battery-powered products use low-voltage rechargeable systems with built-in protections. As with any wearable device, we recommend reading the included user manual and following all safety guidelines — especially charging instructions and temperature settings for semiconductor products worn against the skin.

Evaporative cooling uses the same principle as sweating. As water evaporates from the cooling fabric, it carries heat away with it. Phase-change material melts at a fixed temperature, absorbing body heat at a steady, controlled rate — no painful cold bite, just consistent relief. Most AlphaCool battery products charge via a standard USB cable (included). Plug into any USB wall adapter, power bank, or computer port. A full charge typically takes 3–5 hours depending on the product and battery capacity.

Run time varies by product and setting. Portable fans and semiconductor neck coolers generally run 4–8 hours per charge on lower settings, with higher cooling levels drawing more power and shortening run time. Check your product page for its specific rating.

For products with removable batteries, replacements are available — contact our support team at support@alphacoolproducts.com with your product name and we'll point you to the correct battery. For products with built-in batteries, reach out and we'll help with service options.

Care varies by product. Evaporative towels and gaiters can be hand-washed with mild soap and air-dried. Cooling vests should be spot-cleaned or hand-washed — never machine-wash a vest with electronics or PCM packs inside. Always remove batteries before cleaning any powered product, and let everything dry fully before storage.

Evaporative products simply need re-wetting with cool water and a gentle wring-out to reactivate. Phase-change packs are recharged by soaking in cold water or placing them in a freezer until solid, then reinserting them into the vest.

Store gear clean and fully dry in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. For battery products, charge the battery to about half capacity before long-term storage and top it off every few months to preserve battery health.

Most in-stock orders ship from our US warehouse within 1–2 business days. Standard delivery typically arrives within 3–7 business days depending on your location. You'll receive tracking by email as soon as your order ships.

Yes — we offer free standard shipping on US orders over $50. Orders under that threshold are charged a flat shipping rate calculated at checkout.

We ship from our warehouse in Ohio. We primarily serve customers within the United States. If you're outside the US and interested in ordering, contact us at support@alphacoolproducts.com and we'll let you know what options are available.

If your order was damaged in transit, please contact our support team within 3 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the damage. We'll make it right as quickly as possible.

We offer a 30-day return and exchange policy starting the day you receive your order. Items must be returned in new, sellable condition with original packaging, parts, and tags. Open-box items are not eligible for refund or exchange. See full return details →

Visit our returns portal and follow the prompts. Once we receive your item, please allow up to 5 business days to process an exchange. Refunds are issued to your original payment method.

After we receive and inspect your returned item, refunds are processed to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it can take a few additional business days for the refund to appear on your statement.

AlphaCool products are covered by a 1-year warranty against factory defects in materials and workmanship for both non-electrical and electrical components. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage, improper care, unauthorized repairs, or commercial use. Damage from failing to follow charging or care instructions is also excluded.
