AlphaCool Mesh Instant Cooling Towel (2-Pack)

The cooling performance is good for the first couple of months. My issue is the mesh edge on one towel developed a small tear after about 8 weeks of regular use. Not a functional failure but the fraying concerns me about long-term durability. The second towel in the pack is still intact. May be an isolated issue but worth knowing for buyers expecting multi-season use.

I was skeptical of the 20-degree claim. On a 95-degree run I checked my neck with a thermometer before and after wrapping this towel. The difference was real and dramatic. The mesh material and AlphaFlex technology do something that regular cotton cooling towels simply don't.

The towels are effective and the cooling is real. I expected a slightly larger towel for full neck and shoulder coverage simultaneously. These cover the neck well. For someone wanting to drape across both shoulders fully you'd want two. The 2-pack actually addresses this — one on neck, one on shoulders.

If you store these damp for more than a day they develop a mild musty smell that rinses out easily. Just make sure to air dry or rinse before storage if you won't use them again immediately. This is true of any moisture-retaining product and easy to prevent. Performance is excellent.
